Currently, Wellness Concepts Clinic accepts insurance. We will bill your insurance at a higher rate than the cash price of $65 for a full treatment, $37 for an adjustment only.
We bill insurance higher due to the extra employees it takes to call and file it, services we have to subscribe to that make it possible to send your insurance electronically, and the 6-8 week wait time it takes to receive payment or explanation of benefits.
If you do not want your insurance to be billed at a higher rate, then you will be considered a cash patient and you will pay $65 at the time of service each time you come in. And we will not file your insurance, instead we will give you a "superbill" which explains our diagnosis, codes, and fees. It will be your responsibility to turn it in to your insurance carrier. We will not send it electronically.
Most insurance companies have deductibles that you have to meet each year. Sometimes they are only a few hundred dollars or they can go up to $5000 dollars or more that you must meet before they will pay for your services at our clinic. You are responsible for the full $65 visit fee until your deductible has been met and your insurance company has started paying. Once our clinic has received payment from your insurance company, we will refund your $65 minus your copay. Copays are MANDATORY to collect from you. Each insurance is different. Your copay is usually listed on the front of your insurance card.
Deductibles start over every year. You will be asked to pay $65 until your deductible has been met.
For example:
Insurance paid Wellness Concepts Clinic $100 for your visit A. You paid for visit A too, $65. You have a copay of $20. Wellness Concepts will refund you $65 minus $20 for your copay for a total of $45.
You do not get refunded the full $65. Wellness Concepts Clinic keeps the payment above and beyond the $65 for all the associated costs for filing your insurance.
In addition, some insurance companies limit how many visits you can be seen per year. Many times it is 26 visits total between all chiropractors and acupuncturists. We will let you know how many you have. Once you have met your limit on visits they cover, then you will be required to pay the $65 again. Again, this $65 is required to be paid by you regardless how much they paid Wellness Concepts Clinic for your first 26 visits.
